The role entrepreneurs play in the growth and development efforts of any economy cannot be emphasized enough. In the case of Africa, entrepreneurs create much needed jobs, thus they can be a source of employment, and they create and bring innovative products and services to the marketplace as well as contribute to social change. The African Entrepreneurship Initiative at the African Graduate School of Management And Leadership will bring scholars and entrepreneurs from around the world to discuss ways of promoting and sustaining entrepreneurship in Africa to contribute to its growth and development.
The research of the scholars and their interaction with entrepreneurs at the school will inform the dynamic content of the new programmes in entrepreneurship that will be developed for our students. Research output in the area of entrepreneurship in Africa will be published and talks as well as conferences on issue will be held to share knowledge.
